Maybe Sergachev, Theodore, Ekblad, Provorov??? Honestly, I agree with the person above, its hard to think of someone thats available to match that significant return.

I think Sergachev would be close since he might be left unprotected by Tampa, but not sure where the value sits with those other guys.

Even those guys wouldn't get traded especially with 2021 being a complete crapshoot draft. Don't think that package gets you a #1 defenseman right now.

    Its a 7th overall pick.
That high in draft, guys have been heavily scouted.
    Its rounds 5, 6, 7 that are a crapshoot.

Anything after 2nd round is a crapshoot in any normal year, even if scouted well. Given this year though where the OHL wasn't playing and scouts didn't have the flexibility to travel as much to watch players, yeah this year is a crapshoot too even for top 10 guys. Owen Power looks like a great defenseman, but it's not like he dominated. And he's the number one overall pick right now?
The 2021 draft was already seen as a weak draft. Adding in lack of scouting and several leagues restricting play, doesn't help. If that 2021 becomes a 2022, maybe you have something. But not 2021. Why do you think even most of the draft picks that were traded this year were 2022 and not 2021?

Sergachev probably if they sign Savard. They're loaded on LHD and RHD is weak

2021 may be a weak draft, and that is valid reason not to take the picks this year. 2020 was probably on par with 2021. Neither years were as good as 2019 or will be as good as 2022.

That is different than being a crapshoot.

Devils have #7 pick. If a scouting department does not have a book in 7 guys in this draft, they should be replaced. And only a handful of players haven’t played at all this year. Most leagues have had games.

It really is a crap shoot. The books from the past can change year to year. Given the fact most barely played compared to other years, it's so much different than any other "weak draft". Even in the top 10. They're taking a shot at someone. Doesn't mean a top 10 pick doesn't have value, but not nearly the value it would in a normal draft year.
