It’s gonna be a long time before any top free agents are signing in Buffalo. I’d think Eichel would need to return next year and play like he did last year. Then, in Summer of 2022.

In the NYR deal, I would take out Miller and ask for Chris Drury instead to be the next GM.

And Devils decline Wood offer.

I think calling him the Devils 3rd line LW might be cherrypicking a bit. They roll 4 lines and some games he plays top minutes, some he plays middle of the road minutes. One way or another he is our leading goal scorer by a significant margin and a team that can't score isn't going to trade their leading goal scorer for Bjork Thompson and a 3rd. Honestly don't really think theres a trade to be made rn for Wood between NJ and BUF but if you still want him in a few years when his contract is up you can try then.
