Yeah man, these trades aren't worth the return, for the most part. Looks more like a bunch of salary dumps than trades for rebuilding assets. Marchenko is also signed to the KHL through next season, so CBJ have to wait at least one more season until they can sign him; though, you can probably bet Greg Hoffman will be signed as well.

Whether the team rebuilds or "retools" boils down to Seth Jones this/next offseason. And you can bet that if the team is going to rebuild, you're going to see a Laine trade, possibly a Gavrikov and/or Werenski trade as well.

I hate everything about this entire AGM, from the rationale to the concept to the hypotheticals to the everything.

If it’s any consolation, part of it is just frustration that this NHL season has been shortened, yet its somehow felt twice as long for CBJ fans. The result is...not being happy with even having to confront this.

I wouldn’t say Torts is *the* problem, but at this point he’s certainly not helping. When he was hired, he was what this team needed. Not sure that’s the case so much anymore.

from an outsiders perspective, he seems like a problem but the roster itself doesn't seem good enough
