i dont want him to be honest. If we are doing trades, they need to be legit top 6 forwards

I’d argue that he is a legit top 6 guy. He’s got 3(?) 50 pt pace seasons and that’s the value of Strome.

The bigger thing for OTT is that he takes time from Pinto and Norris if Smith doesn’t do that on his own. Not a great fit like you said.

I'm not convinced of how strong Strome is as a C. Skilled player for sure, but he's weak on draws, weak defensively and doesn't really push the pace of play.

The difference between this year and last is totally negligible. It's like half a percent.

My reservations with Strome go beyond just him being weak on draws. I just Don't think he's a good fit.

I would say the difference Is that last year he was consistently bad at draws, but this year's he has been good and bad.

I think this year hurt his value as he had an opportunity with Toews and Dach out and didn't run with it. Not saying he did awful but he got his chance to shine and he did not

Hawks wouldn't accept this. Strome turned 24 years old a couple months ago, so he is far from a finished product yet. He's also a RFA so the acquiring team owns his career more or less. Hawks wouldn't trade him for anything less then at least a mid 1st or equal value as a start to seriously considering is my guess. Why would they? They have zero reason to move him and he's proven to be one of the smartest players on the ice and a great setup guy.
