oilers offseason 2

Description
Oilers offseason 2021

Notes:
- Neal bought out or traded
- Oilers probably sign a depth defensemen for league minimum
- I can see Nuge signing for less (Don't care how much, as long as he gets signed)
- Oilers possibly sign a 3rd line center (Danault maybe?) but McLeod could easily steal that spot
- Holloway could be Mcdavids left wing after some time in the AHL

Eh it's just kinda the usual thing of those assets being somewhat the cost of either Kuemps alone or taking on Koski alone with more needed likely for this

Especially with AZ so vulnerable right now

Not far off but with that pick being ~50th especially

Idk there's so much precedent of them taking on bad aging D contracts and actually paying for them sometimes (Gudbranson) idk what to believe 🤕

I think that's to much for Nuge man. As much as it would pain me to see him walk at the end of the year I just still can't get behind him signing for that much. He's just not worth it imo. He's a sub 60 point per 82 game player. He's just not good enough 5v5. Stellar special teams player though.

I can't stand seeing these Keumper trades .. I absolutely disagree he's the answer for EDM. He's injury prone and he's inky getting older. I would rather Mike Smith play until he's 45.

Nuge has played a with a ****ty oilers team for a couple of years and still wants to stay in edmonton. Gotta reward his loyalty. Honestly, if i was the gm of the oilers i would sign the nuge for the league maximum. Anything could happen but i hope he stays, i don't care if he gets overpaid.

I definitely agree with Keumper not being the answer but he is an upgrade over koskinen in terms of play and contract. I can see the oilers acquiring a goalie through free agency instead, to play alongside smith.

Gudbranson was 28 y/o, and was brought in BECAUSE he's 6'5 220 lbs giant who plays a physical game.
Russell is 33 y/o, 5'10 and 170 lbs. There's no chance Ottawa pays to take him on.
