That’s an overpay for Merzlinkins tbh, that being said I wouldn’t move Merzlinkins if I were Jarmo.

Kadri is not the center the Jackets need. They need a long term answer and Jarmo isn’t going to move Elvis for a center that doesn’t make this team better

He does move Elvis for him. I agree he isn’t a number one. He’s a good number 2. And if Elvis fetches him then we’re definitely taking that.

I'd go for that. Kadri isn't a long-term solution, but he'd be great for sheltering the projects we have.

Certainly not the worst I've seen overall though I'd say it's an overpay by the Avs. Pretty sure the plan will be to keep Grubauer and Kadri and shelter Newhook but definitely not a bad plan B. Credit for trying something different. I would still expect Graves to get taken in the expansion over Donskoi (though JD has been very good of late) and Jost's contract is a little high. I'd also expect Makar to be a little less but if it ties him up long term I'm not averse.

If I'm sakic I stay away from that deal 100%.. elvis is good in torts system in Columbus but his stock would drop playing in bednars system..
Just like dubnyk in minny compared to sjs and colorado..

Also looking for makar to make a chabot deal

I said not the worst I've seen. Not saying Sakic should go out and do it, but as plan B's go it's better than a lot of ideas on here including some I've tried myself lol.

Best option is grubauer, plan B would be a bernier, andersen, or other goalie free agent.. like I said look at goalies who play for clb, min, ari, LA. Then see what happens when they're on a different team

Of course he's best option but if you can't make a deal with him then I wouldn't call those good plan B's.

So you're saying that you'd rather give up kadri and a 1st for elvis who's has 2 playoff games in a defensive torts system rather than experienced vets who only cost money?

    Mike smith TBL vs ARI
    Bryzgalov PHI vs Ari
    Dubnyk EDM vs MIN
    Bobrovski CBJ vs FLA

Just cant see it in my head, goalies are such an unknown.

Obviously it would depend on the vet and the cost. Bernier is a 1B/C at best, Andersen no thanks.
