In the off season, I would think Ghost is worth more than that. Hes had a good year and is a solid number 3 with just 2 years left. Hes rediscovered his 40+ pt ability and has been suprisingly average on defense. He hit waivers when most teams had no cap space, when Philly had 8 dmen and 3 goalies on their roster, and Fletcher astutuely knew he wouldn;t get claimed.

I'm not saying hes worth tons, but Cholowski is a non factor/non return for Philly. Their LD Defense depth is provorov, sanheim, ghost, hagg, and morin in the NHL, and cam york, mason millman, zamula and linus hogberg in the AHL right now (all of those 4 rookies are playing well). And Cholowski is probably behind all of them.

Tony Deangelo is the perfect role model to teach the young kids how to be pros, how to be part of a team etc. :::

For a GM, adding DeAngelo to a team(and to the locker room), is the chef's equivalent of working on a stew, carefully putting the ingredients together, letting it all simmer... and then just throwing acid in it, and then taking a dump in it.

There is absolutely ZERO case for adding that toxic piece of human garbage to ANY team, let alone one run by a GM that highly values character.

I’m just throwing this out there because I’ve already seen people post these argument. Detroit could’ve had them for free via waivers as they had the contract slots and cap space so why pay for them? ADA is also going to be bought out so why not try and sign him via FA for cheaper? Yzerman has also already traded ADA and multiple players with character issues so why would he change all of a sudden? Another issue is we have Hronek, Seider, and Stetcher next year as RD.

Just keep him in a separate locker room and when he is off the ice have him in the tunnel instead of the bench. Only start him in O-zone and on PP and he will be just perfect 👌🏼
