Slightly Different but kinda the same

Description
CHI draft - With (3)...I'm trading for a 4th pick in the 1st two rounds. I trust Mark Kelley and I think they'll draft at least one of each position (sans goalie).

Pick #12 - Carson Lambos
Pick #42 - Sasha Pastujov - I have not idea why this kid seems to have fallen like he has, but it just seems like the mocks have him falling. He'll be with Landon Slaggert.
Pick #48 - Colton Dach (This one's for you HatterT)
Pick #62 - Cameron Whynot...because...ya know?

With the (2) 4th round picks. I'd pick 1 goalie...Aku Koskenvuo. Big Fin, Have him stay in Europe for 4ish years. It's a long term investment.

Now Stan has a lot of guys that can rotate in. Management says they like the competition...and I kinda agree. Two extra forward slots and Two extra Dmen slots. Best of Luck to each of you!

    1. De Haan, Calvin
    2. Subban, Malcolm
    Additional Details:
I truly think De Haan will be the player taken. He's the best player available IMO by a wide margin. The Kraken will take a few higher risk players and role players, but there are better options than Kampf/Nylander. With that said, IF I'M SEATTLE...I'm still calling to try to get free stuff. Stan will begrudgingly oblige.
    2.

    1. Eriksson, Loui
    2. 2021 2nd round pick (VAN)
    3. 2022 2nd round pick (VAN)
    VAN
    1. Shaw, Andrew
    Additional Details:
Shaw actually works for VAN. With Two RFAs looking for contracts...VAN can do what STL did last year with Hoffman & what TOR did with Horton/Clarkson. Sign the RFA on Day 2 of the season and then send Shaw to LTIR.

The Pearson signing makes it slightly more complicated but they should still have enough cap space to sign Pettersson and Hughes. Even if they need cap space they would buyout Holtby instead which would save them almost 4mil rather than trade multiple 2nds to move Eriksson

That's fair. I think VAN would likely have to go the buyout route then. This is IMO is the best offer VAN can reasonably expect from ANY team. Between other cap dumps have been taking 1st rounders recently....Marleau, Panik, heck even Connolly & combine that with what teams are getting at the TDL...$2.25M just got a 2nd and a 3rd... I don't see any other ways to shed that kind of cap.

I was more so on the approach for VAN...that they don't stand pat. That the cap space should help them get better. Simply extending Elias and Quinn isn't making VAN any better. It's the same team as this year.

meh I'd rather stand pat next year and wait until Roussel, Beagle, Holtby, Eriksson, and Luongo contracts all end and then take a run at Pulock and Forsberg the next offseason. Even if they stand pat they've got a decent chance at making the playoffs considering how weak the Pacific is anyways

The whole offseason kinda hinges on whether or not Toews is coming back and if so how healthy he is coming back
