As a Canucks fan of course you’d think that Vancouver trade is reasonable.. it’s not tho. You need a first just to rid yourself of Loui. Reinhart has way more then a second value

That first is a top 10 pick plus a 2nd on top. One year of loui Eriksson to recoup a top 10 pick plus a second? Doubt they’d get better offers for Reinhart

he’s one of the better 2 way forwards in the league and is on a 30 goal pace that is know playing center he definitely has a ton of value going into the offseason.

Bet they could get the first and second (van is 10th, 11th including Sea as far % goes, so pick is currently 11th and who knows how they’ll do it and/or climb. The trade would be in the off-season when the puck would be determined whether it’s top 10 or not. And yes in a flat cap Erickson’s contract is a non starter especially when the whole league knows Vans cap troubles..

Vancouver is currently projected to pick 11th assuming no one leap frogs them pushing it further down. I doubt the 11th pick in this draft has great odds at producing at that ~60 pt pace that Reinhart has done. There is value in that ELC but then we’re looking at the negative value of Eriksson.

The first currently is 11th, and could end up being worse. This trade wouldn’t even theoretically happen til the offseason when the pick is for sure. Reinhart is an RFA on pace for 30 goals. LE is going to cost to move in a flat cap world. Reinhart is at the very least worth the first and second alone without taking LE.
