Description
Tell me what ya think. I’d like to sign a high end LD UFA but there are none. I’d like to trade for one but I’m not sure if one would be made available in the offseason. Hampus Lindholm might be had at the TDL but he might get extended, for example.
I like the DeBrusk trade especially if he does not light it up in the playoffs. Hall basically stole his spot.
Rask can play for another 3 years while Swayman develops in the backup role. He will still play approximately 30 games a season.
I really like Oleksiak because he will help take the physical burden off of Miller and Carlo especially since they’ve had injury issues.

Would love to have Eichel but just don't see it on many levels. What is your insight?

It would be a huge mistake to trade for Eichel. The cupboards are already thin and need to be restocked. I was really happy that DS did not make a massive trade. I think they re-up Krejci with lower dollar number and less term. Ditto for Rask. Need to find a solid 2C player to develop. Could be Studnicka or Beecher or they draft one this year.

DeBrusk is much younger and under team control. That's why I would like to keep him.

In the offseason they might have to choose between him and Ritchie since they have a glut of LW. Especially with a Hall extension JD will need to find his place. They have him on RW and I’m sure he plays better at LW. And I’m sure he wants to be a top six LW. So I think he might get moved. Maybe he goes to Edmonton for a mid first round pick instead. That might be better actually.

Bruins will be lucky if either can step into 2C at some point. Next year is a big one for Studnicka. Has to prove he can be productive and reliable. Hopefully find a spot on 3rd line and then take another step the following year. Need to draft high end potential players moving forward starting with this year.

If they resign Hall you are right. I would rather keep DeBrusk. 3LW would be good for Boston but not sure if he'd be happy like you said. Depending what happens to RNH with Edmonton that might be an option. Would not get that return for Ritchie.
