Drop one of the firsts and it's a reasonable trade. Maatta and Durzi offset each other, so you could leave those two pieces out if you want as well.

Kevyn Adams said four first-rounders, not six. Turcotte = 1.5 first-round equivalents and Kempe = one first-rounder plus. Take him and Kupari out and we say Yes.

Weird, don’t see Byfield on here. No dice.

Can't see the Blues being interested in a small center for Dunn.

Like Ranger ACGM’s that don’t include Lafrienere there isn’t really a way BUF accepts an Eichel trade that doesn’t include Byfield.

Unproven prospects aren’t worth more than 1 1st round equivalent no matter who they are.

The Buffalo trade is both too much and not enough - like everyone else I say Byfield has to be part of the deal - and on your end do you think Byfield is going to love being a 3rd line center behind Eichel and Kopitar - Eichel for Byfield 2022 1st round pick (LAK) 2023 2nd round pick (LAK) and I suggest you package either Turcotte or Vilardi to CBJ for Laine.

Of course people value things differently, early firsts worth more than late, firsts in the 21 draft are worth far less than firsts in 22 or 23 etc. Thats why saying 4 firsts is asinine, it just invites things like offering 4 late or unimpressive recent firsts, and things like valuing anybody halfway decent as being worth multiples of firsts. Theres no actual consideration of what makes sense, just that "the ask is 4 firsts, heres what we think 4 firsts is".

    Reasonable Eichel offer,
But with all the other teams that’ll surely be involved-
will it be the best offer?

Tough to say, but i think it would be in the running

Kopitar, imo, would be the 3rd liner if byfield pans out in a few years

NYR don’t even consider that deal. That’s like us offering Strome for Kopitar.

I do see the Blues accepting a 2nd and a prospect. Blues say yes.

Absolutely not this prospect. They don't need a center, let alone a tiny one. This offer ain't gonna work.
