Ducharme doesnt do the salary cap. He adds players and the GM is the one who tells him he doesn't have space.

Why is everyone complaining about Ducharme, he is just repeating what the GM is telling him.

Per Capfriendly : After the TD clubs are only allowed 4 regular recalls until the end of the season. Habs have already used 3. So they'd need to use an Emergency recall to make additional moves, which would require an injury

So if Ducharme doesn't want to use a regular recall, he will have to order Weber to take a slapshot and aim for Byron.

Byron would be a better dman than Weber
He is our worse player by far

Caufield's performance bonuses will count against the cap because he's a recall under LTIR situation. See herehttps://twitter.com/CapFriendly/status/1383072926874931203?s=20

That is outstanding. Though modern Chevy (Chevy Dancing (from twitter)) has moves.

However moving guys to and from the taxi squad to the NHL roster is supposed to be seemles. It shouldn't need to be like a regular recall because the team already used a recall to add those players to the taxi squad.

I’m not exactly sure what you’re trying to say, but the 3 recalls were used on Ouellet, Romanov, and Byron on deadline day. I’m pretty sure the moves were so they could fit Gustafsson under the cap while Chiarot & Price were out. Moving a player from Laval to the taxi-squad does not count as a recall.

Well this is annoying. All of this could’ve been able to be avoided if they took on an extra minuscule amount of bonus overages or waived Mete a day earlier.

Montréal is going to have performance bonus overages no matter what. Sure it’d be a hindrance next year (albeit very small), but it doesn’t mean the habs can’t recall him.

Sorry, you're misunderstanding. It's not a performance bonus overage, it's that Caufield's cap hit changes because he's a recall when the team is in LTIR. It's a completely different situation than a performance bonus overage.

That’s only if the person on LTIR has performance bonuses. Gallagher doesn’t, so the bonuses are treated like any other bonuses. Although it appears that Ducharme was confused, and the problem is the recall limit, not cap space.

Ok I misunderstood the recall process lol. Thanks for that. I thought moving a player to the taxi squad from the AHL counted as a recall and therefore there was no recall from taxi to NHL.

No, you are still not understanding. When you are using lti relief you must include all performance bonuses as part of the cap hit for replacement player's Meaning that you must account for caulfield’s $1,308,333 cap hit.
