i recognize the blues wont trade him while theyre window to compete is open, but I think if the sens offer their 2021 1st it would definitely be enticing. Theyd probably want Sanderson though which i dont think i would do. Hes be a great fit next to chabot though which is why im doing this

i know, sens could make it work more than anyone if they wanted to resign him though. blues not so much

Doesn’t make sense for the sens - parayko is great but defenseman like him do not age well and he’ll be 29 in the 1st year of his new deal. Rather have zub play with chabot.

yeah i just think he was a nice fit next to chabby, tbh i think the sens 1st would be an overpayment anyways, I would rather just add power/hughes/clarke/guenther/berniers. Probably does more for the sens

i’d love parayko but given how well zub and jbd have been this year i think it’s far more important for the sens to add a high end young forward to the mix, one of them should be able to hold down the chabot partner spot for the next few years

Too big of a gamble. At worst that Ottawa pick is top 7 and nabs them a VERY good player. Trading it for a player who is UFA, and could decide to move on before we're a legit contender seems wrong. The time to trade a 1st round pick on this kind of acquisition is coming soon... but IMO it's not here yet.
