On a true playoff team, he arguably shouldn't even be on the Tqxi squad. I wouldn't play him ahead of Aho, Greene or even Hickey. He's not good.

Yeah, he’s probably playing tonight in a must win game. Lot of isles fans think he should play because he’s 6’5.

Btw hickey has a 63% xgf% this season in 6 games. He’s a good player - I guess player evaluation isn’t trotz strength

He could end up being serviceable in the Trotz system, but he really can't do much. His whole thing was supposed to be the he clears the front of the net, but in reality all he really ever did was throw out cross checks in front and screen the goalie. The Sens had unacceptably bad goaltending to start the season, but I think he holds at least some of the blame on that front. At least once a game when he was a regular, there would be a goal scored where Murray/Hogberg had absolutely no chance because they couldn't see through Braydon Coburn. there's definitely a reason Goaltending has been getting consistently better since he was demoted to the taxi squad.

I am not looking forward to a Greene-coburn pairing.

good luck lol, hes good in the corners because hes so big but thats about it. Awful transition defender, pretty much a black hole on offense (had a snipe in one sens game tho). I didnt even think he was that good at clearing the front of the net for a guy his size

I listened to his first interview last week with the isles and he seemed like a classy guy - but those intangibles do not matter if had this effect on Ottawa’s defense

yeah like he was nice to have around with the sens young team to show some real professionalism and work ethic, but not sure how much that will matter to the cup hopeful isles. Hoping the best for him tho!
