Bear is far from a cap dump. He's having a down year but he's still young and can bounce back. Not to mention he only makes 2 mil a year. If anything he's one of the Oilers' best contracts.

In spite of the description, I read that one as Bear to dump Neal, a 2nd for Russell, and a 3rd for Turris. I'd guess Edmonton passes on the last two, but considers moving Neal if they can get someone better in UFA who helps them contend. Now as for where they dump him, it seems clear that Vancouver does not have the cap space to be the destination.

and what is the point of all these moves? taking on other teams bad contracts so that they flip them over? why wouldnt they just make a deal with Detroit or another bad team instead of vancouver?
