Description
Jets protect forwards: Ehlers, Scheifele, Connor, PLD, Appleton, Copp, Lowry. Jets ask Wheeler to waive his NMC

Jets protect Defenceman: Pionk, Demelo, Stanley

Seattle is not going to take the contracts of Wheeler or Morrissey because they both are bad, leaving Seattle with the choice between Harkins, Niku, and Berdin as the main options. They probably go with Harkins.

Prob not in my opinion. Seattle has the largest analytical department, and Morrisseys analytics were bad last year and are horrible this year. He is not worth 6.25 million and that sucks to say because I really like him but it's the truth.

Josh Morrissey is struggling and is by no means a #1D, but I'm pretty sure Seattle jumps on an opportunity to take him, especially if the second best option is Jansen Harkins.

Bigger than Morrissey hah, guys analytics are awful.

Seattle is huge into analytics and I think that’ll show with their ED picks. But I do think they’d pick Morrissey, not sure how you pass up on that. The guy just needs a solid long term partner to be effective. We saw when him and trouba were together they were good. Now without each other they’re both struggling.

It would be more of a chance that Morrissey would be traded instead of being exposed and the chance of him being traded is very slim.

As it sits right now I would protect Morrissey, Pionk, and Stanley exposed DeMelo. There will be plenty of 3rd line dmen available for half the price.

DeMelo stabilized Morrissey when they played together. I don't understand why fans think Demelo is bad because he's not.

It would be interesting to know FOR SURE (as opposed to speculation) whether once Wheeler waives his NMC for Seattle, it becomes inoperative. If so, I think that there might be teams asking Seattle to take him and pass him along in return for a late first.

Waiving an NMC or NTC is a one time thing only. After the the move the NMC/NTC goes back into full effect, so Seattle would need to ask him to waive again if they wanted to move him.
