Well it gives seattle a wealth of choices. A guy like palat maybe who can play top line minutes and then you can sell at the trade deadline for a ton.

That Make Sense, It question Why Getting a 1st For Johnson when you get A Great Two-way forward who you can flip for more than a 1st If Seattle Sucks

This is an 8-1 but I would go for a 7-3-1 and protect Him, Colton, and Palat over foote

It would be easier to look at if you made it for 2021 so the UFAs are gone.

It also shows that Palat gives you just one year. Less valuable to a team of they're not ready to compete

If I'm Seattle, it costs Joseph, Foote, and a 2nd to get me to take Gourde.

I think you try to pay them to take McDonough. He's a good vet who isn't old yet. His contract will look worse over time but he could be part of their leadership group.

I'd want know part of it if I were Seattle but I feel like some would

At least that I can understand why Seattle should take McDonagh, he's a good defensive defenseman who's a better leader and maybe where's a C in like a few years if Seattle takes him

That would be my logic. I wouldn't do it myself but I think some would.

He's got his cup and he can transition from 5th or whatever best player on his team to vet and leader on a building team.

Not that I'm aware of, but if we were to give that up it would be for someone to take Johnson and still that's a lot. I assume you probably don't watch too many Tampa games and there's nothing wrong with that, but if you did you'd see that Vasilevskiy, Gourde, McDonagh, and Point hold the team together. In that order
