You should trade Dunn before the ED if your plan is to lose him for free

Why are we trading Faulk and then not playing gostisbehere?

Eww. Twice. And Faulk is way bigger than Ghost anyway.

this is to get rid of the Faulk contract, Ghost can be buried in the AHL if needed lowering his cap hit

Ghost is not the major piece here, that is just to swap contracts. He can be buried in AHL if needed, he already cleared waivers this year. Risto is the size add, I am actually a fan of his and think he would fit in the Blues system well, Him and Colt55 could rotate partners pretty easily

Can I ask who you’re protecting on the blueline if you’re exposing Dunn while also dumping Faulk separately?

Gotcha, an all-star D-man to just throw away

Parayko, Krug, and Faulk. Trade is after expansion draft or Risto, Parayko, Krug if trades are before

Who is the All-Star? Faulk who hasn't been since 2017 or Ghost who was placed on waivers this year by a struggling Philly team

Faulk. He had one season where he didn't live up to expectations. He's made significant improvements since he moved back to the right side which is his preferred position.

I agree, he has played better this year. However it doesn't change the fact that the blueline is filled with smaller defensemen. The whole point of this is to add some size onto each pairing

So you use a protection on Faulk... just to dump him for a lesser defenseman that will be buried? If you don’t want Faulk, just expose him and keep Dunn.
