Why would the jackets consider?

Domi hasn’t been good with the Jackets, or am I mistaken? I thought they would like to dump his contract and get a good young defensemen in return?

He is heating up, and honestly keeping him and hoping he fits with a different coach is more valuable than a 4th and a bottom pair defensemen. Worse case scenario they trade him 50% retained next deadline for a smaller return than they could get now, but that difference still isn't very big.

There's really no reason to move him unless they're getting a very good return

He hasent been great but truth is nobody has been. He is more valuable to us as next years 1/2c with laine and a new coach. compared to dumping him for a mid pick and a youngish defenseman that probably would be repetitive in a group where there are 5-6 guys fighting for those spots.

Take out the 4th and maybe the pens bite. Maybe.
