Description
BUF fans, is there a trade return you’d be happy with that doesn’t include Byfield, Kaliyev, or Turcotte? As a Kings fan, I’d love to add Eichel, but adding his $10M per salary AND lose those Top 3 prospects doesn’t make sense to me. Thoughts from BUF & LAK fans...

Not sure if you can get him without Byfield or Turcotte going the other way

IMO, no chance LA gets Eichel without giving up one of Byfield or Turcotte. To get quality, you got to give up quality. While yes I understand LA has other quality pieces, none of which are even close to Eichel.

LA would have to give up like Turcotte + 2021 + 2022 first to even sniff Eichel, but that’s just my opinion.

Sabres say yes in a heart beat with the injury he just had and all the pick. I don't even think LA will be that good if they do get eichel and the sabres could get some good players with the picks

Kings shouldn't be trading for Eichel. Solidify the back end and this will be a perennial playoff team in 3 seasons, maybe less. Trust the process.

Usually I see people underpaying for Eichel on here. This might be the first overpay I’ve seen on an eichel deal. Never thought that was possible.

I don't mind the idea of parting with Turcotte for Eichel, but every construction I've seen from Buffalo guys also includes Byfield or Vilardi or Kaliyev or Bjornfot or some combination thereof plus first-round picks for a total of four elements. Not happening. Final offer: Turcotte plus Jaret Anderson-Dolan plus Kale Clague plus our 2021 or 2022 first-round draft pick. And I bet that's more than he'll actually get when he finally IS traded.

Why all this dumb stuff - Eichel for Byfield, Kempe, 2022 1st 2023 2nd - A top 5-10 center for a high end prospect, a solid player and a couple decent draft picks- Sabres have to get back a guy who can be a viable first line center eventually - not a top 5-10 guy but a guy who can be a first line center and be good enough so you don't have to spend all your time trying to get one - I like Byfield I think he will eventually be a solid first line center but it's not like he's putting up 2 points a game in the AHL if you think he's going to be as good or better than Eichel don't trade for Eichel .

Byfield is the 2nd youngest player to ever play in the AHL, and he's scoring handily down there. If no Byfield is a deal breaker for Buffalo, then the Kings shouldn't trade for Eichel.

1st round pick
A prospect (Turcotte/Vilardi)
B+ prospect (Kupari/Kaliyev/****emo)
Good roster player (Kempe/Iafallo/Roy)

If the ask is more than that, then Blake should pass.

No, absolutely not

It starts with either Byfield or Turcotte,
then add from there
And if it’s Turcotte, be prepared to add more than if Byfield
was a piece
