Has Suter fallen that out of favor in Chicago? Seems like very quick to give up on him.

I've seen a post with that similar Oilers trade.

Turris for Connolly is more or less a wash (both washed up, once top 6, vets)
Doesn't make any sense for them. Lavoie was a highly ranked prospect that fell in the draft to the 2nd round. Since we drafted him, he tore up Junior, played really well in Europe, and is starting off really nicely in the AHL. He is exactly the type of projected top 6 goal scorer the Oilers need. Makes no sense to move him for a player who hasn't produced in the NHL to his expectations to this point in Nylander. Lavoie is younger, cheaper and more team control. All things you want in a flat cap world.

No just an Idea to build for the future, because this lineup would be hard to fit in Suter, I believe Veleno will be a better player in the future and Veleno will be in the minors for a season while the hawks role with this lineup.

Maybe so, but why would Yzerman make that trade then? Suter looks good with Kane too if you're trying to squeeze some runs out of him still

Jets decline. I can't see them trading a 2nd round pick for Duncan Keith (2yrs at $5.5 million) when they can get similar results from players making $1 - $1.5 in the market.

The value isnt bad or anything but I agree, Calgary just isnt trading Hanifin for anything short of a major overpay right now
