These are all over the map. Hyman is a loss? Marner a loss? Rielly, Holl and Dermott as well? Nylander a win though compared to Pasternak? I am not sure you even watch hockey after seeing these. Okoposo vs Foligno (who the Leafs have for a quarter of his contract that expires) is a loss? Seriously what?

This is a touch confusing... if im reading it right then im not sure how Nylander's deal compared to Pasta's is a win for the leafs, its more expensive for less production. The only advantage is that Nylander is a UFA in 2024, Pasta is a UFA in 2023. But the length of the deals were the same 6 years.

Thats not what i meant
Lets say Nylander and Pastrnak are being compared
Pastrnak is the better player, so it is a W for the leafs

I don't remotely have an idea what you are getting at here.

So i used the contract comparable tool to see which player can be compared to a guy on the leafs contractwise
If the leafs are getting a better player, or upgrading, then its a W
If there is virtually no difference, it's a tie
If the leafs are getting the worst player, or downgrading, its an L

essay time

Jeff Petry-TJ Brodie
I like both players both are really solid defenseman and I think this is equal

Mete-Dermott
I prefer Mete as I don't like Dermott too much

Hamonic-Bogo
Hamonic has potential and young bogo is old but a great shutdown d-man

Engvall-other player
even

Simek-Holl
I love Holl he has unbelievable flow

Coleman-Hyman
I love Hyman i pick him but it's pretty equal

Kerfoot-otherplayer is a tie

Rantanen-Marner
I think I'd give it a tie I can't choose

McDavid-Auston
McDavid by a mile

Mikheyev wins cause Idk the other guy

Myers-Muzzin I'd say equal both good

Pastranak-Willy
Pasta

Rielly has been bad but he wins

Brassard-Wayne Train
I'd probably go w/ Brassard

I like spezza

Kopitar>Tavares but its close

Foligno wins for sure

Galchenyuk I've always liked the guy

Merril-Hutton tie

For sure Campbell wins

Korpisalo wins FOR NOW if we judge by how dave has played recently

Hutchinson loses for sure < Kinkaid is better
