Beagle is on LTIR and probably done, Holtby's buyout is really good so they aren't gonna move him, and the price to move Myers and Eriksson is too steep so they aren't gonna move them. I'd be willing to give a 3rd and maybe a meh prospect to move Roussel but that's about it

Use Marleaus 6M cap hit requiring a first as a base, add on that most if not every team is struggling financially due to the pandemic and multiply that 1st round cost by whatever needed.

So in short, too much and even then good luck finding someone willing to take on what is essentially wasted money

Holtby - Nothing. He probably moves at cost. I'd take him for one-year at $4.3m if I didn't have to give up anything.
Beagle - Nothing. Goes to LTIR.
Roussel - Judging by this year's deadline, $1.7m of cap space runs about a 3rd or 4th pick (buyout cost)
Eriksson - With $4 million buyout...probably an early 2nd pick, maybe a little more due to NTC.
Myers - Can be useful at times, but too much $$ and too much term. Would have to come with a player and a 1st pick. Maybe a 1st alone if they retained half.

So to take all five guys? Two 1sts, a 2nd and a 3rd.

    Or Brock Boeser and pick.

    How about this:

    Loui Eriksson
    VAN 2021 1st round pick (#11)
    VAN 2022 4th round pick

    for

    NYI 2021 1st round pick (#25)

I think the fans want the players moved but the management is okay with one more year of holding on. They will keep their assets and find ways to navigate around this year.

If Loui and Myers would to be traded, what would be a reasonable price the Canucks offer to the Devils?

Devils have enough cap space to take on most of those contracts

I would love if that happened but I don't think the Canucks would trade all of those picks. That would be a great haul for the Devils.

Would they have enough cap space for Quinn and EP?

Cap space doesnt equal actual $ though. The pandemic has made surplus money more valuable than ever in sports. The fact that few teams would have the combo of the cap space and willingness to use it this way would only increase the cost even more. I think VAN is stuck with most if not all of those deals

For taking Eriksson you can have our high 2nd + a mid round pick or equivalent prospect (4th rounder or so).

For taking Roussel you can have a 3rd + possibly something minor like a 6th or long shot prospect.

Absolutely they will have enough cap room. Vancouver media and have reported for years about Cap Issues and yet every year the team goes out in the last week and signs someone like Ferland or Hamonic this year. Canucks will be fine.

That term on Myers is just too much to stomach. They would need to buy him out in approx two years. Feels like a stay away, even with the fair value you placed.

His buy out is a horrible hit. The reality is Canucks coach loves Myers. He is not going anywhere.

And hope Quinn and Elias hold out as long as possible.
