So not moving Ylonen.

And Eichel is a very good player but not a unifier in the dressing room. I pass on that. Not sure Sharks move for Weber, but I applaud your attempts to move Drouin.

With that retention, the Sharks would basically be paying 11.6M for Weber which is equally bad compared to the situation we have with Karlsson right now. So it's gonna be a no thanks from us.

I really, really, really don’t like Karlsson and even I wouldn’t take that deal. Retaining that much for 6 years would be stupid.

Note: The Sharks have the wealthiest owner in hockey. Saving real dollars vs cap hit does nothing for us.

Columbus isn’t making that trade, they don’t need or want Drouin. If Columbus moves Laine they will get a top 6 center in return. Drouin isn’t a top 6 center, Drouin isn’t even a center tbh.

Agreed. A super small market team with cash issues might consider this, considering the actual money owed (Like Arizona), but for the Sharks, this would be a bad move. Karlsson also wouldn't waive that precious NMC either.

Every team says no and counters with their own laughable proposal. All these trades favor the Habs not to the level of trolling unless you count the Sharks trade. Eichel trade needs at least one more 1st or a high end prospect.
Sharks trade is a mess so scrub that.
I don't think Drouin is valued around the league like you think he is.
Make it a 1st instead of a 2nd and Anaheim then considers your trade.
I think Kraken will want Jake Allen so I doubt they do that deal but maybe?

The Sabres holes are up front and they have a ton of Dmen who cant legally drink, they need to get value up front. The fact that every Eichel trade is anchored by a high profile defensive prospect should show how easy it is for every team to part with these d prospects as well

Yup exactly. And like you said, the actual money itself isn’t a problem for the Sharks so salary totals don’t really matter.

I was thinking the same thing but thought what about Weber for Karlsson straight up with a third team doing the retention on EK, I dont know if any would retain that much for that long though.
