Your hatred for weber, whose still a top 4 defenseman, has made you acquire essentially a bottom pairing d-man whose great on the pp (just under half his points are pp) and is signed for longer term, earns more actual dollars, and has a higher cap hit. if anything, it should be San jose giving the HABS picks to take karrlsson. this is horrible.

I don't hate Weber, I am just exploring options if this is his decline and not just him playing through injury. Karlsson isn't as bad as he is made out to be hence why I have him on the 2nd pair with Romanov. BTW our biggest weakness on the team rn IS special teams so adding a guy who excels on special teams is actually a benefit not a hindrance. Karlsson's contract is a whole year longer, wow man that must be like a decade in hockey! Yes 8 years at 4.5 Mil for a 28 y.o. center who plays an efficient style that is not hard on the body making him pretty durable over the contract. I mean it only takes him to 36 not like Weber or Price signed into their 40's. Let's also not forget that he was 6th last year in selke votes. If Tatar wants more then he walks but I believe he likes the city and his line mates enough to stay even at a reduced cap hit.

this is a horrendous trade. you just made the team worse. no one will take on karrlssons contract. san jose has to add 1st rd picks, and mtl doesnt need to add anything. price is signed till 38. thats 2 years away from 40. weber is signed till 40. at least get your facts right. and no, danault does not get 8 years. he gets 5 to 6 MAX.

Weber's actual cap hit is lower. his salary is lower. he's still a top 4 dman. he's a much better leader and more well respected in the league and locker room. this is a horrible trade bud
