Most overvalued players East Division

Description
These are the most overvalued players from each team in the East Division. Based on how much their fans value them. This is completely subjective.

I was going to do every division but I don't know as much about other teams/divisions. So if anyone wants to do it for another division, that would be great.

Are you comparing Hughes' potential to DeBrusk's potential?

Nah under people on this site seem to think he’s a cap dump or close to it even after this season (last year sure)fans are rightfully coming around on him so id say it’s fair rn

He's 19. No one expected him to be good from the start. This year he's been very good this year so no im not overvaluing him

What your saying is you wouldn't trade him for what a 40ish point center (which what his current P/GP puts him at) is worth because he has more upside than he's producing right now, correct?

If yes, then its the same situation Bruins fans are in with Debrusk. So if you're not overvaluing Hughes, how are Bruins fans overvaluing DeBrusk? Hughes in his in 2nd year while DeBrusk is in his 4th, that's not a massive difference. Its not like DeBrusk is 27+ and done developing.

Panarin has played a total of 56 minutes with Zibby. It such a small sample size that its irrelevant. Looking at GF% this season at 5v5:

Panarin w/ Strome = 63.9%
Panarin w/o Strome = 72.2%



Idk about that advanced analytics and the legitimacy. All I know is that chemistry is important. Strome and Breadman have great chemistry and they both compliment each other. Panarin best offensive seasons (including this one) has been with Strome as his centerman. Once again give credit where credit is due

Lol I don't know about the legitimacy of this measurable statistic, but this immeasureable thing called chemistry is important. I gave credit to Strome for being a complimentary player, but hes still overrated. Strome has been nearly a PGP player since being put with Panarin. Would he be a PGP player without Panarin? No, no he would not.

No def not a point per game. But Strome with a replacement level wingers is still a decent player. Solid middle 6 center
