Only 19 games in but has had a good start in Providence. Wouldn't be surprised to see him called up in '22-23.

Sneaky good signing by the Bruins. Lyle has good size at 6'3/215 can play in all situations and while he went undrafted, he was ranked 48th among North American Skaters by NHL Central Scouting in 2017. In 19 games for Providence he's recorded 6G/6A and has been a key guy to their defense. Rumors were that other NHL's were sniffing around as Lyle was only signed to an AHL deal and Boston signed him before anyone else could swoop in.

Sounds like he's maybe 1-2 years away. Could be a good addition as the 3RD behind McAvoy and Carlo. One report on him from the OHL Writers:

"defender coaches can send over the boards in any situation. He can quarterback the powerplay, kill penalties, match up against the opposition’s best players, and in the last minute of a one goal game, is the first D over the boards whether you’re protecting a one goal lead, or are trying to tie it up. He has a howitzer of a shot from the point that usually finds the target. It’s a heavy shot and when he puts it on target, is difficult for goaltenders to contain, creating second chance opportunities."

And since Miller is a UFA Sweeny could offer him a 2-3 year contract and until it expires they could call him up and offer Lyle a NHL contract
