If Barkov actually becomes available in a trade, it means he has chosen not to resign with the Panthers.

I want Barkov in the worst way. But if this is the case, it's probably better to wait and grab him in Free Agency then give up a huge sum in a trade.

I kinda have an issue with some of the logic here.

I’m not buying the four first rounders price tag from buffalo, they would need young NHL talent too.
Doubt the rangers can do an offer sheet for a premier player. They would have to move too much salary elsewhere with a lot of extensions looming.

NYR fans are some of the luckiest in all of hockey with all the prospects and free lottery picks they've received, and they insist on rubbing it in our faces with ****ty offers for everybody else's players.

NYR ACGM's have easily become the most annoying ones to view.

So lucky that we can win these draft lotteries and have one cup in the past 80 years and watch our hall of fame goaltender never win the cup he deserved. I'd trade all of these prospects if they would have won the cup back in 2014 for Lundqvist. While yes most of these trades are not good I would not call us lucky.

Recently you’re extremely lucky, back to back lottery wins and having multiple NCAA players signing with the Rags instead of team drafted by (one having a great chance at a Norris at age 23). Breadman signing and living up too or surpassing the contract. Before this though you guys were great at the lottery so maybe karma. Posts like these ACGMs don’t help either as they make seem like a quarter of the league is a farm team for the Rags.
