    Sabres laughingly decline
    ZERO interest in Strome-
especially for such a promising prospect

MTL keep Poehling, he’s good in Laval and have a future here

JJP probably has like a 12% chance of being as good or better than DStrome I'd imagine and only about 50% odds of being an NHLer I mean it's pretty sobering

I would want a 1st and a good prospect back for Kubalik, not an overrated 3rd liner

Those may have been the percentages the day after he was drafted. At this point after a season of very promising development those odds have risen. Additionally Strome really does not fill a need for the Sabres. They have plenty of quality middle six forwards, some with much more upside and a better 200 ft game than strome.

Overrated 3rd liner that has a higher PPG than Kubalik this season?

Funny thing is...they'd probably be on the same line on the Czech national team.

And some of the worst defensive metrics in the league combined with pretty meh play driving. He's been better this season, I'll admit, but that's still not a player I'd trade straight up for Kubalik, who would again be flirting with 30 goals in an 82 game season, is capable defensively and an absolute force on the power play.

He's been tied to elite talents like Dylan Strome and David Kampf at 5v5 this year too, so I'd cite that as part of the reason for his decline in raw production

I agree Kubalik is better but Zachais still very solid. He elevated his game alot this season. He's not an overrated 3rd liner anymore

The overall “general” odds don’t really apply when you’re talking about individual prospects
And i love the way Peterka plays- even if he never hits his ceiling
And i don’t think much of Strome- i doubt he’s the missing piece that makes it all come together for us

There are very few moves the Adams made that I like unconditionally, moving up in the draft to get John Peterka IMO was absolutely brilliant.
While it does not make up for letting Larsson walk, signing Hall to $8,000,000 (see Hoffman for half), and drafting Quinn over Rossi, getting fleeced at the TDL it was an outstanding move.
Adams will not trade Peterka for Strome.
