I'm high on Dubois, but imo we should just wait and see what we have in Suzuki. I wouldn't surprised if he ends up being as good as PLD

I think in the long run they will both be extraordinary players. I just want to change the mentality of the habs, and have those high energy lines. Suzuki is very cerebral -PLD more physical with instincts.

I would play him with Anderson and Caufield.

Two LD's that Winnipeg doesn't need along with a first and a center downgrade isn't enough incentive for Winnipeg to make the deal.

Harris will be an NHL defenseman, albeit probably a 2nd-3rd pair puck mover, and Chiarot will give you a 3rd pair defenseman now. I am by no means saying I would or wouldn't do the deal, but I think it's actually kind of fair. Plus, Suzuki will probably be just as good as PLD. I guess it would be agree to disagree. What do either of us really know, anyway. smile

Seattle can spend 16m a lot better than Drouin and Price. Heck Denault, Tatar and Hamilton cost you 18m

They might be okay, but as LD's both Chiarot and Harris are behind Morrissey, Stanley, Heinola and Samberg, so they don't really give Winnipeg anything they really need. If they we're RD's they would be more helpful.

Suzuki might end up being as good as PLD, but he hasn't shown any inclination of doing that yet and is only one year younger and is a lot smaller than PLD, so probably wouldn't handle the size of the central division well.

Winnipeg has been trying to acquire center depth for years, they aren't likely to give it up unless the offer absolutely blows them away which this offer doesn't come close to doing.

You can't dump Price at the expansion draft, the rules call for players with no-move clauses to be protected.

Not necessary to sent them together... just out of MTL.

In a cap strapped league, teams don't take on non value contracts without sending money back.

Technically a team could ask a player to waive that no-move clause. I am not saying it will happen but I am saying that it could be done.
