Let me start by saying I don't think MB has done a bad job, however I think a new voice is needed at the top. He's made some excellent additions but it's time to tear down management and keep the key pieces in place.

Detroit declines. Byron is going to cost us $6.8M both in cap and real dollars spread over the next two years. That's more than Staal (who got us a 2nd without sending anything back) and spread out over more time (which I would think drives the price up).

I think Detroit would take Byron for a 2021 2nd + 2023 3rd and we'll send you a 2021 5th.

Detroit declines. 2 years of dead cap is worth more than a single 2nd rd pick. It would either need to be a 1st this season, or 2, 2nds+ to even consider it.

Interesting: I do not know that Price waives, but if he did waive, Seattle would be intriguing. Close to home, and he may also think about what Vegas became in their first year. He'd sell tickets.
