I don't disagree with what you're saying. I just think that's the wrong move. I'm just one man and anyone/everyone is allowed to disagree with me. IMO, now's the time to strike while the iron's hot.....when it comes to contracts. Elias and Quinn are going to want bridge deals in the $7M-$7.5M range. That's so close to the long term rate...that you might as well get the term. During COVID it's less likely either of these guys will get the super max contracts being handed out recently. If you give them long term deals this summer...then when the ESPN contract kicks in and the cap jumps VAN will have more than enough cap space to acquire other soon to be UFAs.

I don't think signing Danault is a good move. I think the plan is to roll with what we have at center in Dach, Strome, Suter, Borgstrom, and maybe even Kurashev or Reichel because they have flexibility there as well

I don't think the center depth we have right now is capable of playing a sufficient defensive role. I'm not saying that your path isn't the path Stan is going down. I just want a greater emphasis for the defensive side of the game. I wouldn't mind signing Glendening for a short term deal either.
