Hughes is much better than power and no way NJ passes up on the better prospect who’s also related to their star player

Honestly didn't think about Jack being there. Power was just rated the top prospect by 10/10 of the scouts that McKenzie polled, so I'm gonna side with the pros and say Power is the better prospect.

Tbh after seeing mcKenzies rankings i truly questioned how he gets paid. Sticking with the pros is good sometimes but a lot of the time the pros aren’t actually good and players that even just Instagram pages say will be good end up being good while scouts say they won’t be

There's no way you really believe that the scouts aren't any better at their job than the average joe that reads **** on IG, do you?

Let's look at how McKenzie's end of year ratings have compared to the draft for the top 3 picks each of the last 4 yrs (2017-20)...

#2oa - right 3/4 times (would've been 4/4 if not for Byfield/Stutzle)
#3oa - right 1/4 times (would've been 2/4 if not for Byfield/Stutzle)

Last year he was almost spot on for each of the top 19 picks...

Point is, I'm gonna trust the scouts that McKenzie polls to tell me the top picks before I let any of the draft boards sway me.

He also said kucherov was a bust, he said debrincat was too small

I don't really care what McKenzie's opinion is. The data I'm referring to is McKenzie being the medium of 10 scouts to the public. It has nothing to do with his opinion. He's broadcasting the opinion of 10 real NHL scouts, not his own.

It’s a survey of scouts.
He is not a talent analyst.
And he has a track record going back decades.

(And it’s the final ranking that matters. His mid-season is often off a bit.
