Having both McCormick and Sabourin on the same line would be something

Why would anyone actually want to trade for Gourde?

While Gourde's contract isn't horrendous and I like him as a player (on pace for 55 points in an 82 game season), the contract is not great and certainly not a contract we can take on given our cap situation. Also that's not a package I'm willing to give up for our 3rd line center.

He is an annoying player to play against. No one likes going up against him. Obviously I wouldn't take on his whole salary, but if Tampa retains which I doubt they would, I would take him

Because he’s amazing defensively and is on pace for 60 points in a full season even though he’s on Tampa’s third line

Such a ridiculous site this is. He scored 30 points in a full season last year. He's overpaid and has benefited from playing in Tampa. No reason to spend any assets on him.

Last year was a down year offensively but he was still elite defensively and he’s bounced back this year. Ya I get all you know is Toronto but if you think gourde doesn’t have a high price you should educate yourself

That's a ridiculous amount for Gourde, but I do not think he's on the move this offseason. He sports a full NTC and has been almost invaluable to the team since the playoffs last year. No chance we retain anything significant on him either, so, he probably is staying put.

I have no desire to spend assets for a bottom 6 player making 5 million. He is not worth his contract

I'd much rather kerfoot for 1.5 million cheaper. I don't see that big a difference between them especially when removing pp scoring.

I'd rather have Kerfoot, Liljegren and the two picks than Gourde.

Plus it's kinda of a silly post. Why does Cup winning Gourde waive his NTC for Leafs?

Its easily proven, he's a cap dump by Tampa because he isn't worth what he gets paid. They doesn't mean he's crap but you can't afford to over pay depth and he is overpaid. Same with Johnson and Killorn as well. It isn't a debate. It's a fact.

Sure bud, who do you want taking on McDavid in the playoffs, Gourde or Point? It's not a question, 3rd liners are not shutdown players anymore. Stars vs stars is what literally every team does now.

Dude, the jets always throw Adam Lowry out against McDavid, and the one time they didn't it ended up in the back of their net. Third line players are shutdown players, last year in the cup finals point got the matchups against like, blake comeau while gourde would be out against seguin.

My advice is maybe do a little reasearch before making statements
