Sabres aren’t gonna ship out Reinhart for a LOW 1st & scraps

Sorry, I don't think any of these trades go through. 2022 is a deep draft and Timo Meier isn't worth trading away multiple picks and a good Bottom 6 guy.

I agree on this as I always have issues on making reinhart trades as he's a tough player to try to value and yes the trade probably doesn't go through but I think you are underestimating lavoie who can be a really solid 2nd line guy at his peak.

Even with the deep draft doesn't garnuntee anything better than mier. Benson doesn't slot into the oilers future too well as he needs to be a topline guy where in Edmonton he wouldn't be.

It’s still a maybe for Lavoie
And if the Sabres are keeping Eichel, then they’re trying to win NOW
So they wouldn’t be interested in “futures” for Reinhart unless Eichel is traded first

Then why would they make the trade?

Benson fits well into san jose's plans as they are probably going to rebuild now and by the time that rebuild ends benson will be in his prime. They could also use that pick to help them move up.

Raph Lavoie clearly isn't scraps but I agree it's an underwhelming return for sure

The Keller return strikes me as odd

I think it's a very fair return given his RFA-3 status making it possible to have him around at a -healthy for the team- cap hit for like 8+ more years

I don't think Edmonton would be able to acquire any winger with a big impact potential like any of these without including at least 1 of Bouchard, Broberg, or Bear. Defence are more valuable and any team looking to move a winger of that calibre is likely going into a rebuild and will look for more value, which is where 1 of those 3 defencemen come into play.

1sts dont add that much value, especially this year. Reinhart isnt a TDL rental, hes not going to go for a pick and a prospect

Insert Holloway for Lavoie and then add another prospect (borders, Bouchard, benson)and the first and that would be roughly the value needed if the Sabres were willing to move Reinhart

I think Edmonton will more likely sign Tomas Tatar for 3 years and raise their own wingers rather than trading for them.

This. I believe Holland sees a strong future for his growing pool of prospects. He has two superstar centres that will give those young guys a boost. Holloway is going to be good, McLeod is probably a solid 3C, Lavoie is a shooter that might flourish along side a playmaker, even Maksimov has potential to blossom.

Where do all the wingers slot in, there are:
Keller, Labanc, Reinhart, Meier, Rakell coming in, and ....
Yamomoto, Puljujarvi still with organization.

Rakell - McDavid - Keller
Meier - Draisaitl - Puljujarvi
Labanc - Reinhart - Yamamoto
Shore - Haas - Archibald

Can't see it happening.

These would all be separate trades.
