Pettersson is a so/so NHLer. His contract is bad. Lafferty is a 26 year old bottom 6 forward. You don't get a 1st for dumping a bad contract onto a team.

Pettersson is worth a third and Lafferty is worth a fifth. And neither is a player a rebuilding Columbus team would be interested in.

i honestly like the hyman signing but the way he's been playing compared to other wingers who got paid recently he'd command at least 5, the idea is interesting tho
