I don’t think CBJ do this. Feels like the return for Laine *and* Jones should be more.

Laine is also going to cost more. His qualifying offer alone is over $7.5M. A two-year contract would also walk him right into UFA.

Any Eichel trade should have a center coming back.

The Edmonton trade is horrible for Buffalo.

Would much rather have Reinhart over Monahan.

This somehow adds significantly to the mountain of $$$$$ clogging up their cap; which is arguably the key reason for their struggles lately I mean oh my god

    Almost 30M $ committed to

    Sknner Okposo Kessel Kassian MSmith

    😳😵🤯🥺😧

    Holy florking schnit

Not to expect you to transform a lottery team in one offseason but definitely a bit sobering that almost every single forward is under qualified for their role

Doesn't seem like a rebuild tho ultimately

    Very few futures returned tradewise

With Jones a UFA-1 and Laine analytically abysmal (damn I love a good alliteration in the morning) I disagree though imagine they'll want more, yeah

Lol Jones is the most mediocre dman in the league and laines got no value rn. Their isn’t a world where sabers make this trade

Unfortunately, trading Okposo and Skinner isnt an option, and Kessel and Smith will be off the books after the season, along with the teams having almost 12 million in cap space, but good points

Yes it would be crazy if they took the consensus #1 rated prospect.

It would seeing as they have no need for him. The Sabres debuted 2 rookie LD this year, and both have looked good, theyre also hanging on to Dahlin for a while and should resign McCabe. That would be the biggest joke of a pick and a complete waste of assets
