That bruins trade makes the bruins worse, and they give up a draft pick, and Reinhart doesn’t fit in their lineup. Soooo ya that’s a big time no.

Don’t think they ever had interest. Certainly not at this price. But more importantly, Reinhart is a RW, no? They don’t have room.

Please god no. To both....i recommend more than 5 defensemen too. Especially with 2 being rookies but im sure carlo can do 45 minutes alone so no worries ;p

Not making the LA trade or the Boston trade would be best case scenario. Both are brutal for buffalo.

I strongly disagree that it made them worse. Reinhart is by far the best player in the trade and fits in your line up perfectly.

There is literally no spot for him in the lineup.

Krejci is a UFA and craig smith is a 14 minute a game player suited perfectly for the 3rd line.

Sabres declines, bad deal with LA and not a very attractive Boston trade.

Craig smith was just signed to play on the second line, and he’s doing very well there. Krejci is likely to be re-signed. Reinhart isn’t really that good anyway.

So the bruins give up their second best d man, their best PK guy, and probably their 5th most valuable player, and debrusk, and 2nd, to make a neutral move at best. No thanks. If Reinhart was a point per game player or something this would be a discussion, but he’s more of a 50 point guy.

Are you crazy? Robbery for that boston trade. Reinhart might not even be the best player in the deal.

Nope. Reinhart is an excellent consistent player, he is always stable, he can play in the center or on the wing, he is young but has been in the league for a long time. DeBrusk's produce are constantly decreasing, Carlo is not very suitable for us because of the position, we have an overabundance of RDs.

And he would be your best RD. They all kinda stink. Reinhart is, “meh,” in the context of this trade. He’s an okay second line player.

I saw that somewelse Boston fans were unhappy with Carlo. I don’t know what it’s connected with, skating, slow? Well for us Reinhart is a first line player, a guy who always scores 20+ goals and scores 60-65 points, also now he finally plays in the center and looks good, this is a very good option. DeBrusk is not even next to him now because of a bad season, but he was not close to him last season either. I don't like this deal at all as a Buffalo fan. Carlo is better defensively than Risto, but he is worse offensively, he is slower and he skates worse.

Smith plays 14:42 a game. He is suitable for a 3rd line role.

Reinhart avg 61 points per 82 over the past 3 years on extremely low scoring teams. i wonder if his numbers will pop when he plays on a better team?

debrusk has fallen off a cliff (that wasn't a very high cliff to begin with) and carlo is fine.

again, buffalo loses this trade badly.

Boston fans unhappy with carlo? Uhhh. Never heard a single person say that. I mean, he hasn’t played in a long time because Tom Wilson scrambled his brains. Maybe that’s what youre thinking of?

Carlo isn’t just better defensively than risto, he’s worlds better. I think the skating is very comparable. Pre-brain scrambling carlo was certainly in the discussion for the top shut down RD in the NHL.

Any GM that judges a player based on this year alone (debrusk), what with no pre-season, short off season, division only schedule, pandemic conditions etc etc should be fired, and banned from working in the sport for 25 years.

Interesting to note, since you seem to think there’s this huge gap between debrusk and Reinhart (this year, i agree). Even with debrusks horrid 20-21 season, he still only scores at a .1 goals per 82 less than Reinhart. What’s up with that? If you don’t count the odd pandemic year debrusk is a couple ahead of Reinhart.

Well, I didn't make it up, I saw such opinions on another site. At the same time, I am not saying that he is a bad player, of course he would have been our best RDs, especially in defense, but not at the cost of Reinhart. Our prospect Mattias Samuelsson who recently made his NHL debut is similar to Carlo in build and style, hopefully in the future he will be as good as Carlo.

Lol. And the Sabres are good. Eichel’s happy there. They called hull for in the crease. Whatever you want, it’s your fantasy.

No, you're wrong. So you underestimate Reinhart. That would be a bad deal for Buffalo.
