Mcmichael is another year away from NHL ready. Protas should/would be the most NHL ready imo

Agree with CapitalFail67, McM should probably get another year in the minors. He's having a good year so far (16 points in 23 games), but the Caps have the luxury at center to let him grow his game and develop in the minors a bit more. No reason to rush him up.

I read comments on Nova Caps a few weeks back when Protas got to Hershey. Coach Carbery said Protas needs to get stronger and get used the pro game still, so even though he is 6'5, I still would think he needs a year or two even until he gets a shot with the big team.

he had a solid year in theKHL. he scored 4 points in 5 playoffs games and scored 18 points in 58 games.. Nothing that will blow you away but im projecting him to be a really solid 3c or a middle 6 winger like a Dustin Penner type
