Description

Chicago looks like they will have to expose one of Murphy/Zadorov - Canucks trade for either. The Ducks trade was a rumour mid-season and I would go back and look to see if you can make it happen - I would buyout Virtanen otherwise. Holtby to Seattle, Roussell/Eriksson waived, and Beagle to LTIR to make the cap work. Leaves us with lots of flexibility for the following off-season to make a run at some solid forwards.

I think Murphy costs a bit more. Also giving Heinen that much money is a mistake.

It's most likely going to be De Haan rather than either of them at this rate.

Would be fine adding a prospect or something to the deal. And I figure if we make a trade like that we'd have to pay the Benning special to keep Heinen, just seems par for the course.

Hawks will protect Murphy and Zadorov. If they trade Murphy, they’ll probably want a first.
