Uhhh what? In this scenario Subban is 1 year 2.25M, Quick is 2 years $1.4M, Zacha is 1 year $2.25M (RFA status), and Okhotyuk is 2 way contract under 1M (RFA status).... You don't have to like the players but those aren't bad contracts whatsoever.

There's something terribly wrong when LA contributes only Jonathan Quick plus $2 million in retention to a trade while Toronto contributes Morgan Rielly, no matter what else happens.

Oof those Zacha and Subban takes scream very stuck in 2019. Zacha just turned 24 years old, is on an affordable and protected contract, and leads all Leaf forwards not named Matthews, Marner, Tavares, Nylander, or Hyman in points this year (even with less than 40GP). P.K. trails only Morgan Rielly on the Leafs in defenseman points this season. Both of those guys are doing that on an abysmal NJ team.

I don't know Quick's whole deal rn but I thought TOR was interested in him a couple of weeks ago? But I guess theyre fine without him, Big Save Dave looks good.

Zacha is basically in his peak years for production by the average aging curve of NHL forwards and he had a point streak this year that was not only out of character, but has tappered off significantly. And as I said, he's awful defensively at 5v5, like bottom of the league bad.
PK Subban is also absolutely washed defensively and a gigantic liability that the leafs dont need from a defender.
The leafs were never interested in quick, some talking head on sportsnet or whatever said that they should be, but he was wrong. No one wants that guy, not even LA. He's awful and big save dave does look much much better

Morgan Reilly is very overrated.
I wouldn’t give Zacha+ for 1-year with him.

Trade would have to be made with an extension in mind. Super unrealistic anyways.
