Playoffs lines today

Description
Anderson scores no matter the linemates. He sticks with danault and Tatar to get Gallagher helping on another line.
I like the 2nd line. Good combo of shooter-playmaker-forecheker.
On the 3rd line, I think Kk needs speed like we saw yesterday with Byron and lehkonen in his wings to get open.
I would start Evans et lehkonen instead of Staal and Drouin but we know it won’t happen.

I'm ok with your lines. I'd possibly switch Anderson and Gally.

I know it's just one game but I haven't been impressed by Merrill. If he doesn't show anything more, I'd prefer to suit Kulak.

What did you expect with Merrill? He’s a defensive defenseman. He was good last night in the fact that his night was quiet, and it’s not like Kulak has proved to be any better (especially on the right side).

Exactly, kulak said he can’t play RD. eddy, chariot and Romanov are better so no spot for him now. The last spot is Rd and merill is probably better suited

Yesterday's game was a playoff one, very intense, physical. As for Merrill I don't remember him serving a good solid hit, blocking shot or showing character. You're right, he hasn't been bad defensively, but he wasn't good on relance/zone exits. I remember one or two situations where he could support the offense in the offensive zone and he seemed really hesitant. As I just say, 11min30 is a very poor sample, hope to see him more physical and confidEnt.

I do prefer Kulak's mobility and relance. Kulak had good games playing with Romanov on 3rd pair. His bad games were when he played with Weber against better players, and Weber also struggled a lot and committed a lot of turnovers!

Kulak does deliver more mobility and puck moving, but pairing him with Romanov who is also a more offensive defensemen isn't always the solution. If you noticed, Merill was able to take more of the heat defensively while Romanov was more free to move up with the puck, get in deep and make more pinches, something people were complaining he wasn't doing enough of before. By Merill being that defensive defensemen, it gave Romanov the opportunity to move up the ice and get himself that secondary assist. While im not saying Merill is the better defensemen, i feel like he is a better partner than Kulak was to Romanov
