I find it hard to believe the Wild would leave Dumba unprotected without a deal in place to keep him

If I’m Minnesota and I saw what happened with Vegas, I’d just bite the bullet on Dumba this time around. Either that or they lost Greenway/Eriksson Ek, or give up their whole future in a trade

Why does Tampa have to give up more than San Jose when Johnson is cheaper and on less term?

I don’t believe that the Sharks will want to give up more than that, nor will they be able to

If it’s Ladd, more would have to be added

i dont think they would accept more than a first. Also if eberle is included i would imagine that a first would be going the other way

I mean despite some flaws in the roster, imagine putting together a team like this while accruing 6 first-round draft picks in two years...If they can capitalize on flat-cap they are going to be set up for big success as a developing team

They can go 4/4, or either Suter or Parise can waive, cause its pretty safe to assume they're not gonna get picked

Eberle has been a top 15 rw in the league this season. They’re not giving up a 1st to get rid of him lol

Name one other defenseman other than Letang, Dumoulin, and MP that’s worth protecting in expansion? Just letting you know, POJ and Marino are exempt.

Probably because the Lightning need to move on from Tyler Johnson in any means necessary. In a vaccuum, his contract is better but considering their cap situatuon. Its so much worse

No he won’t because his contract will protect him on his own. It’s nonsense to think any team will protect a lesser player just because they just got him. That’s silly. They just got Jankowski too...think they will protect him over Guentzel? I really doubt it lol
