If Hyman walks

Description
I love Hyman to bits but if his next contract is in the 5mil AAV range as it will likely be, the leafs are better off using that money to fill other holes in the lineup - namely to upgrade goaltending and adding a strong 3C.

Instead of signing an expensive winger to replace Hyman, dubas should be looking to add low-cost young guys with some upside such as former first rounders who are still young with upside but verging on bust status, as well as guys like foligno and kase who can play up and down the lineup. I think jones could be a great target - he’s never played alongside elite offensive players in Anaheim and likely wouldn’t cost much.

Why wouldn't the elafs give Hyman 5 million. He's worth it for many reasons. One is you can pretty much put him on any line and that line becomes better

Don't think you understand "RFA". You have Max Jones signed at 850,000 at placed him on the first line. Won't it be worth the Ducks to resign him? Same withKase.

Anaheim declines. Jones' upside is much higher than Engvall's.
