This is just a joke lol

But in all seriousness, I think the Devils could be interested in trading Boqvist to Chicago, preferable for a young dman prospect. Any ideas on who? Boqvist's value is around a 2nd round pick

People keep trading for him on here because of the brother angle, but we don't actually want him. We have too many similar tweener players who haven't met their potential, and shouldn't give up any assets for another one.

Regula is the only viable prospect we would give up in that group.

He went to Cranbrook, that's a private school.
    His real name is Clarence.

We'll certainly see on Dach vs Hughes. They have 15 years to find that out. Hughes will get more points than Dach, but hockey's about more than your point total. You need to be able to defend too. I personally think Dach will be better, but again...we'll get to find out.

PS...I love the fact that you have to write that a #1OA pick is better than the #3OA. It means we're already in your head! smile

We don't really want him all that much. Maybe we give up regula but that's about it.

Dach>Hughes..... don't let the fact that Dach was hurt most of this year blind you from the truth

Hughes is lowkey underrated defensively. He's great offensively. But we can at least agree that Hughes and Dach> Krappo Kaako

I don’t know, if it was the hawks I don’t think they WANT to add. We don’t need Boqvist that much.

Not really interested in adding Boqvist for a major piece. He's 22 and hasn't really produced at the NHL level, so he's basically in the same spot as Nylander. I'd probably give you a 3rd for him at best just because we don't really have the room for another Nylander.

I am excited to see Hughes take another big step forward next year though!

Could just swap Nylander and Boqvist
Both guys have a ton of talent and should be producing more than they are.
Give 'em both a fresh start.

Nylander is better, so NJD would have to add.

He carries the puck more than anyone.
    That leads to giveaways.
That is why he is just ahead of Draistal, Marner in giveaways.

    Good defense = takeaways.

I like takeaways as a good indicator. I did learn something today. I'll key an eye on his defensive game going forward. There's also more to defense than just takeaways, but I think you agree with that.

You also used we in your reply, so perhaps you should follow your own advice? Who are you speaking for? Seems like semantic BS to me, but I can't speak for anyone but myself. Why go down this rabbit hole when you knew what I meant in the first place? Do you not agree that Regula is the most expendable in the group?

I don't agree any of those assets are expendable. I've seen you position Regula before for Boqvist earlier in the week, that would be a bad move IMO as he's a very solid prospect to round out the right hand D side with Mitchell and A Boqvist. J Boqvist is just an extra middle 6 winger which we have plenty of.

Regula seems to be blocked, and the hawks have often called him up to the taxi squad when they send Mitchell and Beaudin down to Rockford meaning he wasn’t playing in games. He’s a good player, but I wonder how the hawks feel about him... where do they see him playing next year with Mitchell, Murphy, Boqvist all on the right side. He’s 20 years old, which isn’t old by any stretch but I think next season he is going to have to outcompete Mitchell to make the team, either that or the hawks have to trade Murphy to make room for him. That’s why I mentioned him as the most expendable prospect in that group, because Vlasic and Comesso have all the opportunity in the world within the org.
