In interviewing execs and agents around the league it came out that the likely cap hit for him is 4.5-5.5, and that other teams will outbid Toronto if they offer 4.5 or lower. He might re-sign for winning's sake, but if you're Hyman this is probably the biggest deal of your career

Hyman also is already super wealthy (apparently). I agree, if he signs for what he's worth, it won't be with Toronto, but if he does sign with them it'll be at a discount.

This is horrible.

He is worth about 4 million a good player who gets more points than he should because he plays with Matthews.

This is a shallow take. His impact goes way beyond points. He plays a great 200 foot game and is one of the reasons the Leafs are better defensively this year

Keefe is the reason they are better defensively. He's not worth more than 4 million.

Nugent- Hopkins is worth like 5 mil but he's gonna ask for like 8 so no way he signs for 6
