If Seattle takes Gus, they will want to also pick two NHL goalies and start Gus in the AHL, especially because of his contract.

Yeah I figure if they take Gus they will also take Khudobin and whoever they view as better between Allen, DeSmith, Raanta, Reimer, Mrazek, Quick, Talbot, Campbell, Hutchinson, Anderson or Holtby. There are a few FA in there but that is because of the ED rules stating that a minimum of 1 goalie under contract must be exposed and the teams either only have 1 goalie (the one they are most likely to protect) under contract or have no goalies under contract to expose. Also the 3 Toronto goalies are there because it all depends on whether the Leafs intend on signing Anderson and protecting him (my assumption is they wait until after the ED and before the draft to sign him. Thereby protecting Campbell and exposing Hutchinson, but that is a dangerous game as Seattle can talk to pending FA for 1 week prior to the ED, from my understanding).

Nyquist may or may not end up protected, but there's no way we pay to move him. He's been good in the lineup; he just hasn't been in the lineup lately due to injury.
