what an ugly logo

    He's not. 1.7 WAR and 2 xWAR, he's still a lethal top 6 forward. Having him for two more seasons will be worth the pain of the last two.

    Yep. He's on a 67 point pace. Tied with Hintz and Hamilton for 45th in the league in points. They might just protect him, rather than pay as much as it might cost Pit to move Matheson.

    His last three years, after a summer bonus payment, are a three for the price of two. Some team looking to get below the floor happily takes that "pain." If Oshie is good enough to keep next year, then WSH protects him.
