Right now Blackwell would be on pace for 50 points and 25 goals in 82 whereas Gauthier is routinely a healthy scratch and Howden is playing on the 4th line while Blackwell gets top 6 time, Rangers protect Blackwell

What protection did you do for the Ducks?

Also Larsson is not an NHL defenseman (And I dont think he ever will be) I cant see SEA not taking Fleury if he's exposed, especially with Ron Francis in SEA

Rangers protect Blackwell. Tampa protects Cernak over McDonagh (doesn’t have a NMC).

I didn't even protect Howden but i did protect Gauthier,i tried to balance youth and good players but i could see Blackwell being protected over Gauthier

Over who? You won't let Muzzin, Rielly or Brodie be unprotected

I did say Johnson waives did you not read the description of Colorado's pick, as i said there a trade will probably be involved since Avs will want to keep, Makar, Girard, Toews, Graves

They’d be better off going 4-4-1 and let them pick 1 of Palat, Johnson, Gourde or Killorn.

Fair, I think Jones over Heinen but apart from that Its what I expect to happen (I hope Manson is traded by then and we can protect Fleury)

Hyman is UFA and seattle would take Kerfoot or Dermott

Holl has been really good for us this year, losing him for nothing would be far worse than losing kerfoot

It would be Palat, Gourde or Joseph, didn't protect Johnson or Killorn also a trade is likely involved with Tampa

No I meant they protect Stamkos, Kuch, Point and Cirelli, then Hedman, Foote, Serg and Cernak and Vasy. Then let them pick someone remaining. It’d suck to lose Palat but it helps the cap.

I see Tampa doing a trade since they really need to clear cap so imo Johnson, Killorn and more are probably gone next year

Yeah but they’re gonna do anything nuts that would hurt their ability to contend. Let’s not forget if not for the cap they’d willingly keep all these guys.

I think that looks good. Boston could also be Zboril, but Lauzon is more versatile (more experienced on off wing), more NHL time and better defensively.
Ottawa - Gustavsson is probably not ready, even if he had a couple good NHL games this year. I've seen Tierney as an option, and I think he would help them be solid right away. I'm not sure Ottawa's #4 goalie is one of the best 3 available to them.

It does look like they're picking a lot of players with 1 year to UFA, but that's probably a product of the protection and exposure rules. Contract length remaining might end up as a factor in who Seattle picks too.
