I think that looks good. Boston could also be Zboril, but Lauzon is more versatile (more experienced on off wing), more NHL time and better defensively.
Ottawa - Gustavsson is probably not ready, even if he had a couple good NHL games this year. I've seen Tierney as an option, and I think he would help them be solid right away. I'm not sure Ottawa's #4 goalie is one of the best 3 available to them.

It does look like they're picking a lot of players with 1 year to UFA, but that's probably a product of the protection and exposure rules. Contract length remaining might end up as a factor in who Seattle picks too.

I did say for Boston that Zboril is an option, also Gustavsson has been decent and he only 22, would be a good future goalie and they won't rush him if they have Allen and Hill

No it wouldn't if they negotiate a deal with him

Yes it would. Instead of getting an asset like Kerfoot or Dermott, you take a player's rights who can just sign with another team in FA. Would be an extremely dumb move.

No, since they'd get exclusively his rights for that period of time while he could resign with the leafs or go to any other team in FA

they dont need a trade to protect him, Avs will go 7-3-1. EJ NMC isnt going to be an issue, every Avs fans has said this based on what has been talked about with Avs media, especially considering he has been hurt all season and is missing the playoffs bc of injury, a 33 year old who missed a. year of hockey making 6m is not going to be selected by Seattle and his NMC will be waived

What do you mean no? They get his rights for 7 days. Then he can just sign with another team. Instead of taking a player under team control like Kerfoot or Dermott. How can you not see how dumb that would be?

Well there are too many players i see the Avs protecting, kadri will not go to Seattle but as i said i won't predict trades, i wen't with a 8/1 with Makar, Graves, Toews, Girard, Mack, Rantanen, Landeskog, Burakovsky and that changes if Johnson doesn't waive too

Graves...seriously? That makes even more ridiculous. Ryan Graves is not a must protect, avs would rather lose him over other forwards. Every avs fans keep on saying this but why does this site have a fetish with Graves? Hes the Avs 5th Dman

EJ is waiving or being bought out, its pretty simple
